Over 17,000 researchers from the United States and around the world attended this conference, which focuses on the basic science of cancer.<\/p>\n<p>As president of ACKC President, I attended the meeting as part of AACR\u2019s Scientist-Survivor Program, where cancer advocates attend special lectures, work on projects in a team format, and are paired with cancer researchers to gain insight into the disease, etc. As part of the program, each participant presents a poster at a General Poster Session.
