News will commence with two articles, one highlighting two studies on the use of sunitinib (Sutent) in the elderly, and a second article featuring Maria Czyzyk-Krzeska from the University of Cincinnati. Maria is one of the two winners of the latest grant awards from the Department of Defense for kidney cancer research. These awards, totaling over $1 million, were made possible by ACKC\u2019s effective lobbying efforts in Washington each year. If you are interested in joining next year\u2019s campaign, i.e., sending letters to your Congressmen or joining us in Washington, then please sign up at Campaign 2015<\/a>.<\/p>\n Our first Point of View essay, is an in depth look at the high cost of cancer drugs, and will be published soon. Please look out for it. ACKC is free to focus on issues such as the high cost of drugs because we don\u2019t accept money from drug companies.
